Thigh and arm reduction – here’s what happens

If you’re plagued with Bingo Wings and saggy thighs, you might be blaming your age – but there are other factors, too. If you’re overweight and a lifelong gym-avoider, your chances of sagginess sadly improve. But even diet and exercise may not be able to turn back the clock: like other parts of the body, the lack of natural elasticity in the skin as we age means it may not snap back into place.

However, we can help.

Restore your natural shape in an instant

Thigh and arm lifts may target different parts of the body, but the procedure is the same: we remove the excess fat and skin which has accumulated over time, and then we tighten and restore the natural smooth skin and reshape your contours.

Whether arm or thigh, the procedure is completely bespoke. If the fat content is minimal, a simple liposuction procedure and a minimal trimming of excess skin may suffice. If there is more of a fat build-up and sagginess, a full lift may be required.

The shortcut to success

Both procedures will involve an incision – and again, it depends on the extent of the fat build-up. In the arm, the procedure can range from a ‘short scar brachioplasty’ (under the armpit), or long scar brachioplasty’ (from the elbow to the chest). The thigh lift incision will run down the inner thigh, and can go as far as the groin to the knee, with the possibility of making another incision along the fold of the buttocks to enable further lift.

All procedures are performed under local or general anaesthesia, with full recovery occurring after a couple of weeks. So if you want to tighten up, please consult our thigh and arm reduction section for further details.
