The ulnar nerve is responsible for sensation in the little and ring fingers and movement of the muscles in the hand. It runs through the cubital tunnel situated in the elbow and, if there is pressure on the nerve here, it can cause pins and needles, numbness and weakness in those fingers and the hands overall.
