If you’re suffering from a misshapen nose, but you don’t want to undergo a full rhinoplasty procedure, the good news is you may not have to. Chances are a non-surgical nose reshaping procedure could be the more simple and cheaper alternative.
Using dermal fillers to correct the appearance of the nose has been a procedure at our clinic for some time now, and for very good reason: not only does it offer instant results, but when compared to standard rhinoplasty there is next to no downtime.
Non-surgical nose reshaping: fill out the imperfections
If you have a misshapen lump on the bridge of the nose, a crooked nose, suffer from an unsightly droop at the tip of the nose or have a hooked nose, nose reshaping – otherwise known as the non-surgical nose job – can really make a positive difference. Instead of removing anything, we go the other way and compensate for the imperfection by using fillers.
Non-surgical nose reshaping: what happens during the procedure?
The actual non-surgical nose reshaping procedure takes less than a quarter of an hour, but you will be required to have the affected area slathered with a numbing cream 20 minutes before the procedure. The dermal filler is then injected to the appropriate areas of the nose and moulded into shape. And that’s pretty much it.
While non-surgical nose reshaping requires virtually no downtime, no surgery, and is a fraction of the price of traditional nose surgery, it must be borne in mind that the effects are not permanent – the results usually last from anywhere between 8 and 10 months. On the other hand, if you’re worried about undergoing invasive rhinoplasty surgery – or just want to test out the possibilities of aesthetic procedures with minimal stress – it’s the perfect first step.
